Message from the Chairs

We have all this and more! However, we cannot survive and continue to provide these resources without your involvement and interest. Please get involved as a subgroup leader (some positions are still available as we begin the school year).

Outside of our subgroup programming, the QA also organizes various events, including SexPowerGod, Starf*ck, Coming Out Day, World AIDS Day, PRIDE Month, Trans Day of Remembrance, The Providence LGBTQ Film Festival, The Brown-RISD Drag Show, and more. Join the Dance Committee, PRIDE Month Committee, etc, and of course, the QA! Cheers Queers!

If you would like to join a sub-group...

If you would like to join a subgroup, come to a QA general body meeting, email queer@brown.edu, or check the newsletter for subgroup meeting times.

Outreach

AQUA

QUEST
A confidential weekly support group for queer, questioning, and coming-out students coming to understand sexual and gender identity.
SUPPORT GROUPS
Every year various subgroups form out of need. In the past we have hosted QueerSpawn, for students with LGBTQ parents, GenderQueer, for trans, genderqueers, and others coming to understand their gender. The Outreach Department also facilitates the formation of groups that support the intersection of race, ethnicity, and sexuality whenever a need or interest for such groups is expressed.
The Agenda
Brown's only queer publication.  We welcome any publishable contributions/submissions, including, but not limited to, written material, photographs, and art.  Stop by the LGBTQ Resource Center (Faunce 321) for free previous editions!
Dance Committee
The Dance Committee plans our twice-yearly dances, SexPowerGod and Starf*ck.  Come get involved in planning and meet some cool people.
