National Coming Out Week

Affectionataly coded N-Cow. Code, you know, like "she."
Even if you're postqueer, there are still lots of lgbtqqs out there who need your help and support! In addition to our scary rainbow-bedecked table on the green, we're organizing events for the entire week of October 10th.

This may include subtextually and supertextually queer(ed) films, a speaker, and educational activism in high schools. To get involved, rewrite the entire program, get more information, help, or come out, please contact Knick at Washington_Irving@Brown.edu.

Our little committee will be having a meeting on Monday. Please contact us for specifics.

Girls' Night Out

An evening for girls who kiss girls...or want to.

Girls' Night Out is basically a rad social get-together for women who like women. It meets every other week, on Tuesday nights (for now, at least), and each week we will be doing something different. There will be free food and good talk. So stop by, even if only for a second, and come talk, laugh, vent, bond, eat, relax, and whatever else you want with other queer women. It's gonna rock.

note: trans people and gender queers welcome.

First meeting Tuesday, September 20th, 8pm, in the LGBTQ Resource Center.

  • Promote safe zones and spaces on campus
  • Educate the greater community about Queer identity and issues
  • Learn and draw from the experiences of members of the Brown community, past and present, and establish a sense of what it means to be Queer at Brown
  • Develop Community-Building skills to be utilized by students within their own communities outside of Brown
